IT Service Requests

IT Service requests must be performed through the AgriLife People System/Directory (ALP).

New Employee Onboarding

Initial IT service requests for new employees must be performed by the designated Unit Account Manager (UAM) within the department. This is typically performed prior to the first day of employment.

UAMs are required to enter the following into ALP for the new employee to have basic IT Services initiated:

  1. Employee’s name
  2. UIN
  3. Title
  4. Supervisor
  5. Office location

Current Employee IT Service Requests

Many IT service requests for existing employees can be performed and managed through the AgriLife People System. 

Employees can request and manage their IT services by performing the following steps:

Step 1

Log in to AgriLife People

Step 2

Click on the YOUR ALP tab at the top of your screen

Step 3

Click on Mange Your IT Services from the YOUR ALP tab

Step 4

Select applicable services you need to add, modify, or remove

Note: Some IT Services require approval from your immediate supervisor provided in ALP.

The ALP system will send an automated email to your supervisor for any services that require approval. Once approved, the system will automatically setup the service and email you when it is ready for use.

This is usually performed within 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the service or change request.
