AgriLife IT requires all Microsoft Teams creation requests to go through AgriLife People for the following reasons:
- Microsoft Teams are not limitless and need to be managed within the AgriLife Office 365 tenant
- AgriLife People manages and tracks how many Teams are active, who requested them, and the purpose of each Team
- Team owners are responsible for managing membership, data, data types, and who has access to data within each Team, and Teams management is easily performed in AgriLife People
- AgriLife People allows AgriLife IT to assure IT security and data management requirements are being met to assure your data is protected and IT security is maintained

Time needed: 4 minutes.
Create new Microsoft Teams
- Log in to AgriLife People
Go to https://agrilifepeople.tamu.edu
Click on the blue LOGIN button in the top right corner
Click on the AGRILIFE square on the following screen
Enter your AgriLife AgNet ID and password
Authenticate using your preferred Duo method - Click on the YOUR ALP tab
Then click on Manage Your IT Services
- Scroll down to the Creation Requests section
Check the box next to “Microsoft Team”
- Change the effective date and time
If you need your new Team created prior to or after 5 pm of the day you are requesting access, click on the calendar icon under the Date & Time These Changes Should Take Place section
Click CONTINUE - Provide the information requested
Read and check the boxes acknowledging your responsibilities as the owner of your new Team
Click CONTINUE - Review your request
If everything is correct, click SUBMIT REQUEST
If you need to modify your request, click on either SELECT IT SERVICES or SERVICE CONFIGURATIONS
